District of Kent Mayor Sylvia Pranger is about to test her plowing chops.

Pranger will compete under the “politicians class” at the upcoming Chilliwack Plowing Society Annual Plowing Match on Saturday, April 6 at noon.

Now in its 102nd year, the plowing match runs between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Greendale Acres, located at 41905 Yale Road in Chilliwack. The event celebrates the area’s rich history in agriculture, and competitors will use horse-drawn plows and tractors.

In addition to exciting competition, the event is set to include a by-donation pancake breakfast benefiting Chilliwack Bowls of Hope Society, tractor wagon rides, games and more. You can get your tickets at greendaleacres.ca.
