Within an hour, three people were shot with a paintball gun in Mission on Tuesday evening (April 22).

Mission RCMP investigators are searching for a black four-door Volkswagen Jetta identified as a suspect vehicle in the incidents. Police say multiple people were in the car at the time.

At roughly 6:30 p.m., a Candy Shack employee was shot in the head with a paintball gun by someone passing by in the car on First Avenue. The employee was outside the business at the time.

Another person was hit with a paintball approximately 20 minutes later near First Avenue and Grand Street. At 7:30 pm, a youth was shot by a paintball gun while walking near Grand Street and 7th Avenue.

Police say a business off Lougheed Highway was also shot by a paintball gun overnight on April 18.

According to Mission RCMP, the suspect Volkswagen Jetta features red and black aftermarket wheels and a black front grille with either red lights or red accents.

“These incidents of violence are completely unacceptable, and we want to ensure that no one else gets hurt,” Mission RCMP Cpl. Harrison Mohr said in a news release. “The suspect car has some unique features, and we hope that someone will recognize it and call us to help prevent further incidents.”
