A local business contributed to children’s medicine in a big way.

SuperValu Agassiz (7024 Cheam Ave.) announced that, thanks to the support of their customers and staff, they made a $10,000 donation to B.C. Children’s Hospital Foundation (BCCHF) in honour of Heart Month.

“This one means a lot to us,” SuperValu representatives wrote. “Thank you for helping us support the incredible care being provided to children and families in our province.”

The BCCHF is based in Vancouver, raising funds to support children who need treatment at B.C. Children’s. B.C. Children’s is the only hospital in B.C. dedicated exclusively to treating children. More than 100,000 children visited the hospital for specialized care in the past year.
