UFV capital project office hosts open house about campus construction

Updated artist renderings provided on housing and dining hall additions at Abbotsford campus

Students and employees at the University of the Fraser Valley had the chance to learn more about the new additions coming to Abbotsford campus.

Attendees reviewed the display boards of in-depth renderings, asked the architects questions and met the builders. The display boards did not show exactly what the new additions will look like, but gave onlookers an idea of what to expect.

The six-story 398-bed project broke ground in February and is set to be complete for September of 2025. UFV also provided renderings of the upgraded dining space which is currently under construction.

The planning office explained that the project values integrity, inclusivity, community and excellence. The design strategy aims to connect individuals with the land, campus and other people while incorporating exterior, multipurpose and cultural spaces.
